Our door-to-door service can begin directly from Christchurch Airport or the city centre, tailored entirely to your schedule.

Christchurch to Twizel – Scenic Private Transfer

If you’re travelling southwest from Christchurch to Twizel and looking for a relaxed, scenic journey with a private chauffeur, this is the perfect option.

Departing Christchurch or VV you’ll travel South along State Highway 1, passing through picturesque farmland, wide rolling plains, and charming small towns such as Rakaia—home to the iconic salmon statue and a great photo stop.

As the journey continues, enjoy sweeping views of the Southern Alps before heading west through the beautiful alpine towns of Geraldine and Fairlie. A highlight along the way is a stop at Lake Tekapo, famous for its stunning scenery and well-known bakery. The journey to this point takes approximately 3.5 hours, depending on stops.

The final stretch brings you to Twizel, a popular base for the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, salmon fishing, or a comfortable stopover before continuing on to Mount Cook Village (this extension must be pre-arranged).

From that last minute booking for 1 passenger to up to 11 passengers in a Mercedes Sprinter.
